Beginning of RecoveryVictims Becoming SurvivorsYour Key to Assistance

Victims becoming Survivors his year, close to six million Americans will become victims of violent crime. How many will also become victims of the judicial system?

The nightmare does not end when the attack is over but may only be beginning. Victims may suffer untold emotional grief, financial hardship and public humiliation only to watch the offender become the center of attention in a legal system that goes to great lengths to protect the rights of the criminal.

Isn't it time to balance the scales of justice...and make the system more sensitive to the rights and needs of the victim? Victims don't choose to be victims. It can happen to anyone.

Don't wait until you're a victim to get involved. Help victims become survivors. Be a part of the difference, now. Contact the East Tennessee Victims' Rights Task Force.
